The photographic image is such a ubiquitous part of everyday lives and yet we are becoming further removed from the photograph as a physical object. This project has evolved from a fascination with our collective relationship with photography, and in how this manifests itself in the placement of photographic objects within domestic spaces.

The treatment and curation or even apparent neglect of these images is a powerful visual clue as to how the homeowner interacts with those photographs, and how they can be used as a tool of self-expression. By examining these often overlooked objects the project creates a cultural portrait of our changing relationship with photography.
